The Loud House Hits Its First Decade!
Have you heard this song? It was the theme song of my favorite cartoon show,
The Loud House. Today, we are celebrating its 10th Anniversary and I'm so excited to highlight the best moments of the show.
The Loud House Promo March 13, 2016
In the early episodes of The Loud House, we always see highly detailed hand-drawn digitally animated backgrounds when Chris Savino was still around. The entire franchise began as a short in 2013, also known as
"Bathroom Break", intended for the Nickelodeon Animated Shorts Program. However, it was uploaded on June 6, 2014 through the
Animation Magazine YouTube Channel, stating that the entire franchise began on 2014 by some sources. Their official
Instagram page was created a year later, as well as the subreddit
r/theloudhouse, which was made on the same year. However, on March 13, 2016, it was announced that Nickelodeon USA will begin to premiere this show on
May 2, 2016, with its first episode
"Left in the Dark" around
5:00 PM EDT on Nickelodeon, the official time when a brand new fandom was born.
This show features an 11 (now 12)-year old Lincoln Loud with his 10 sisters, composing of five older sisters Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, and Lynn Jr., as well as his five younger sisters Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily, with his best friend Clyde McBride as his companion.
It also features other characters, including Lori's boyfriend Bobby Santiago, his younger sister and one of Lincoln's later long-distance friend Ronnie Anne Santiago (who was mentioned first on "Heavy Meddle" and appeared for the first time on "Save The Date", who later moved to Great Lakes City), Rusty Spokes, Liam Hunnicut, Zach Gurdle, and later the first Filipino character Stella Zhau, serving as a smurfette principle of the group and later Kara joined Lincoln's group of friends.
The fandom get bigger, more fans got engaged throughout the fandom, but something gets stranger.
However, on October 19, 2017, bad news struck throughout the fandom. This is when Chris Savino got fired from Nickelodeon for Sexual Harassment charges. Without him, the final episode ever directed by him was "What Wood Lincoln Do" on June 27, 2018 and future episodes continues to be produced without him.
Without the original creator, the show continues to run with Michael Rubiner, managing on the show continuously.

It expanded with its first animated spin off series The Casagrandes, featuring Ronnie Anne, marking a new chapter throughout the fandom. The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos serves as a back door pilot for its spin off show back in May 29, 2017 to supplement to the spin-off series. It features Ronnie Anne, adjusting her new life under one roof with her multigenerational Mexican-American family. Beginning with a nine-story arc on its mother show, that serves as a precursor to the spin off series, to introduce her family. This arc also serves as Sid's first appearance to the franchise, becoming Ronnie Anne's version of Clyde McBride, in which she is later been shipped by the latter due to the success of Ronniecoln. Other friends also consists of Sameer, Casey, and Nikki, which they first appeared on "City Slickers", and Laird, who didn't yet appeared on the mother show and met Lincoln. It officially premiered on September 27, 2019 and concluded on September 30, 2022, making it the first series in The Loud House franchise to end its broadcast.
Two years later, two new movies began to premiere on Netflix, which is "The Loud House Movie", and "A Loud House Christmas" months later, also beginning the premiere of the franchise to live-action media rather than being animated.
After The Casagrandes ends, another spin off will premiere, and it would be "The Really Loud House". It is the first series of the franchise to be in live-action rather than animated.
However, this show receives a ton of backlash since it doesn't translate well, but also a "Cash Cow" concern, that focuses on the profit than the content itself. However, it also became controversial, especially for Ronniecoln fans, when it introduced Charlie Uggo and later Zia, becoming Lincoln's love interest, that no one wants. It also finally ended on November 26, 2024, with the episode "A Really Loud Thanksgiving: The Gobble Squabble Debacle".
The series continues to produce more films, especially one from The Really Loud House, one from The Casagrandes, and two from the mother show. First is the spy comedy film based on David Steele, and the latter one was an animated Christmas one.
Another Nickelodeon show named Wylde Pak, which had ties to this show since its alumni Kyle Marshall and Paul Watling created the show.
However, as Kevin Sullivan departs from Nickelodeon, it was being rumored that this show might conclude. But it was confirmed that it would not end, and production has come to a pause for the meantime.
As we celebrate a decade of the show, I want to thank Nickelodeon for bringing the series with and without the creator of the show. And to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the show, they'll release a graphic novel special on June 16, 2026.
I hoped that it would feature Ronniecoln and Slyde in this special, because I'm a fan of it.
Thank You Nickelodeon for the past 10 years with the Louds and the entire franchise.
